1. Open Settings → Find a VPP Operator.
  2. Browse the directory. Each operator publishes a name, a description, and a price: free, paid, or profit-share.
  3. Connect the current site. A free enrolment asks for consent. A paid enrolment goes through checkout. Profit-share asks for a billing name and email.

While that operator is active, Basic Mode hides some local controls, including self-sufficiency, carbon-aware, and schedules. Advanced policies on the site still apply unless the operator overrides them. The header shows who the site is connected to.
