Policies are an Advanced Mode tool.

  1. Switch the site to Advanced Mode.
  2. Create a policy and set the constraints that must be true: a time range, battery state of charge, buy price, sell price, or a solar forecast.
  3. Set the device actions: charge the battery, export, turn on the EV, run a Tuya switch, set a Sensibo unit.
  4. Order the policies. They are evaluated by priority, so a storm or a peak rule can sit above an everyday solar rule.

If nothing happens, check that the device was added from discovery and that the constraint can actually be true right now. A buy-price rule does nothing until prices have been fetched.
