Dusk Energy was established with a vision to transform the way we manage and control Distributed Energy Resources (DERs).

We initially set out to build smart hardware and EV charging stations, but quickly realised that the transition to renewables isn't a hardware problem—it is a software and orchestration problem.

We pivoted entirely to a software-only approach. By eliminating expensive hardware boxes and connecting directly to device APIs in the cloud, we have built the digital rails for the decentralised energy market.

Australia leads the world in residential rooftop solar. However, this fragmented market of homes with solar and batteries operates in isolation.

Dusk Energy provides the solution. We operate a dual-layer software ecosystem modelled on financial trading platforms:

1. Gridkeeper gives individual homeowners the ultimate toolset to control their energy generation, storage, and EV charging, automating it all against wholesale spot prices.

2. Watchtower gives energy retailers and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) operators an enterprise-grade aggregation engine to manage these assets at scale, trading energy front-of-meter to support the grid.
